Brand new look for
nutritional business
Project type: Graphic design / branding / web design
Location: London
Why Design was commissioned by London based ‘The Nutritional Helpline’ to design their new identity and website.
Interestingly, the brief required that the new logo didn't follow a ‘telephone theme’ and instead solely represented health and nutrition. We presented our initial ideas [2/3] and discussed the merits of each with the client. Fortunately they agreed that the use of the ‘heart’ graphic to symbolise health and nutrition was the right path to take. However, the subtle introduction of foliage to the hearts to imply ‘healthy eating’ or ‘natural’ came through further development of the idea. [4] Finally, we suggested the inclusion of the telephone number but to treat it as a ‘strap line’ that could be removed where appropriate.
“After speaking to Del I received two draft
designs, both of which were incredible...
Del has the ability to create exactly what you
want even if you're not sure yourself! This isn't down to chance, he is clearly
very intuitive,
and he listens.”

Helpline.}
The client had requested that we create a letterhead template in Microsoft Word. Therefore, once the final logo designed had been agreed we presented a range of stationery designs talking into account the restrictions of using a desktop printer.
The website design then followed. Two ideas were presented [5] and we suggested using strong nutritional imagery to convey the message of healthy eating across the site.
An online questionnaire was also required [6] for prospective customers to complete. Why Design worked with the clients to help make, what was a extensive form, easier to complete online and we suggested a customer login and save checkpoints, so in the case of the PC crashing the user could continue from their last saved checkpoint. We were also aware that a majority of the questionnaire required sensitive personal data and so developed functions such as a ‘time out’ of the browsers' back button to prevent another user viewing the data.
“I have received more than a website from
Why Design. I have learnt valuable marketing strategies and been given ideas
which I can use to streamline my advertising campaign in the future.”
{Andrea Grandson, Managing Director, The Nutrition
Helpline.}
