Section 2: Administration

Site Config - This section is split over three tabs (along the top)

General info (Tab 1)
This is where you edit information used throughout the site that may feature on more than one page. For example, your header strap line, primary or secondary menu headers and your company logo.

This is also where you define your default set of Meta information. If you have a small site you may want to just complete your Meta information here to be used throughout the whole site. For further details on Meta information view our tips on search engine optimisation.

Design Centre (Tab 2)
This is where you style your website. Here you have complete control over the look and feel of your website. You can either enter colour values or use the colour picker to select your colours. For further information on styling your website read Design Centre tips for your linksites™ website package.

Legal (Tab 3)
You may wish to add a page covering your terms and conditions or privacy policy. You can do this here. Simply complete the information as required and 'publish' to add it to the live site. Buttons for either 'Terms & Conditions' or 'Privacy Policy' will appear at the bottom of the website if you have published pages for either.

Gallery Images
This is where you upload main page images for pages in your main menu. The Gallery image library allows you to add more than one image to any page within the main menu and order them according to your preference. On the live website, the user can then view the image gallery by the use of 'next' and 'previous' buttons..

When you select images you will be presented with a table listing every page in your main menu. Select the page you wish to add images to, click on the 'New Image' tab and follow the on-screen instructions.

Content Images
This is where you upload images that are to be inserted within the content of your pages. When you select Content images you will be presented with a table displaying your uploaded images. Each image is assigned a 'link code'. To insert an image within the content in your editorial columns, simple click 'link code' and copy the code generated. Go to the page within your CMS that you wish to insert your image. Paste the copied code into either editorial column 1 or 2. Highlight the code and apply the 'image' style from the styling palette. It's also recommended that you then apply a 'p' style to the image so that spacing remains consistent between your images and your paragraphs.

Files
This is where you upload files that users can download from your website. When you select 'Files' you are presented with a list of file type categories. This can be edited or added to using the tabs. Selecting a file type from the table will display a list of files uploaded in that section. Selecting 'New File' from the tabs takes you to an upload screen. Follow the instructions and 'Save' to add a new file to your list. The column 'LINK CODE' is the link required when adding a download link to your website copy.

NB. Always refresh your browser page when checking changes to the actual website.
