Established by Del Cruft in 2004, Why Design is a creative design studio near Peterborough and Stamford. Del has 13 years experience within the design industry, having worked across the UK including agencies in London and Manchester.
Creative Director / Senior Designer
As Creative Director, Del has 15 years graphic design experience covering a multitude of disciplines such as, advertising and marketing, promotional design and branding. Del is also an experienced front-end developer highly capable in HTML and CSS and experienced in building websites to W3C web standards. He has first hand experience of working with and accommodating existing systems, for example, through recents projects for Bauer Media, designing and implementing microsites for new magazine launches on their in-house Episerver system.
As owner and project manager, Del looks after client relations and handles a variety of projects on a daily basis. Del acts as quality control for all projects overseeing creative and development work.
Del is experienced in on-site SEO and has an excellent understanding of the requirements necessary to help rank your site highly in search engines. Much of this will be included in the design and development stages. He was instrumental in designing the LinkSites CMS so that users can easily benefit from these techniques.
Del is also a visiting lecturer at New College Stamford teaching on the BA(hons) Graphic design course.

Beth typically provides copywriting for start up businesses as part of our branding packages and copy editing for search engine optimisation.
Associate Senior Developer
Neil has 13 years industry experience, working with various agencies in and around London and Cambridge, providing cutting edge technical and web-specific solutions for a wide range of clients including Bauer Media, Papworth Hospital and News on the Block. Neil has vast experience of projects ranging from Wordpress customisation to full bespoke CMS and ecommerce solutions. He has also played a major role in the design and development of the LinkSites Website Package.
