approach A collaborative

A design agency in Lincoln that’s not remotely bothered

Imagine a world where people are told they couldn’t work in the same office. Where teams were asked to work remotely… the guy from accounts is sat at his dining table at home, Jenny from HR is working from her spare room (with her cat), Steve from production is keeping Costa afloat and the whole team is co-ordinated by Kate, the office manager, who occasionally pops into the office but mostly spends her time surrounded by damp washing in her utility room.

Initially, it was a bit weird, right? But, over time, people started to realise that actually, we can work this way. Not only that, we’re just as productive as ever, maybe even more so. It has the potential to improve our work-life balance, resulting in happier people and a more productive team and of course, reduces overheads. Could this be the future?

Now, I’m not saying we gazed into a crystal ball but it is strange how, as designers, we adopted this approach to working years ago. Of course, we have a base in Lincoln. However the majority of our work is completed from our own individual design studios. Why? Simple. It makes it cheaper for you. Without expensive office rates, and by utilising a flexible team of graphic designers, web designers, marketeers and copywriters, you only pay for the skillset you need and the time spent on your project.

As a result, working remotely is second nature at Why Design Studios and something we’re very comfortable with. We’ve got access to offices and a meeting room in Lincoln if need be, but we’re just as happy presenting via Zoom, catching up over the phone or just checking in with Facetime… whatever suits you.

So, before you get in touch, here’s a the low down on some of the key players in our team, all of which I trust to do their job with the same level of expertise and professionalism as I do my own…
